Having Your Cake and Eating it Too on New Zealand’s South Island
Ever since my mother and I first set foot upon New Zealand soil in 2004, we’ve found ways to go back as often as possible.
Although our travels have taken us all over both the North and South Islands, the South Island remains a favorite.
The entire human population of New Zealand is about the same as that of the greater Los Angeles area. And 2/3 of those people live on the North Island, which is the smaller of the two islands. So that means fewer people spread over a larger area on the South Island.
And in my opinion, that’s the perfect backdrop for an antidote to busy life in the U.S.A.
Stay tuned for more on the South Island!
