Flamingo Cottage - Perfect!
Perfect location. Quiet yet only one block removed from the beach, restaurants, etc.. Flamingo Cottage was clean, updated and exactly what we were hoping for. Our week in the area was fantastic and made better by how nice the accomodations were.

Great stay and great location.
My wife and I stayed in Flamingo cottage for almost 2 weeks and really enjoy our stay. The cottage was clean and well stocked. The location has great restaurants and a brewery all within walking distance. The beach is a block away. We enjoyed walking our dog in the quiet neighborhood. The hosts were very accommodating and responsive. Will definitely stay again.

Gulfport Rules

Great litttle getaway!

Great stay

Perfect every time

Simply Charming
It can be challenging traveling with our Goldendoodles and finding a rental that is both clean and in a desirable location. Flamingo Cottage exceeded every expectation we had. The unit was immaculate, check in/ out was seamless and the surrounding community was very welcoming.

Perfect Getaway
This cheery, comfortable flamingo-themed cottage is a great spot to get away or to work away, if you need to. Its kitchen is set up well to cook-in, but there are so many wonderful restaurants within walking distance. The neighborhood felt safe and consistent. The digital concierge was a fun, helpful touch for settling in and feeling comfortable with the place. I’d come back in a heartbeat.

Great, cozy location
The cottage was perfect for my wife and French bulldog. The bed was super comfy, the location was just literally a 3-4 minute walk to all the restaurants on Beach and Shore Blvd. It was also a 1 minute walk to the beach. Amazing stay. Can’t wait to do it again.

Flamingo Cottage
Everything about our stay in Gulfport was perfect. The adorable little cottage had everything we needed. It’s close to shops, restaurants and bars The dog park and beaches. Most of what we did was within walking distance or a short drive. It’s also very dog friendly . I would highly recommend this for a vacation destination and Beth was an exceptional host.

WONDERFUL
Was perfectly perfect!! The place was so cute and comfortable. It has everything imaginable. (except a full length mirror). I couldn’t see what I looked like when I got dressed. Not that it really mattered cause this little town is so relaxed and chill, no make up , just shorts, T-shirt and flip flops and off you go. The other times, bathing suit. We had a wonderful time. We are already trying to book our return.

Gulfport’s Very Best
Flamingo has everything you need to enjoy your stay in Gulfport. The beach is a block away and all the fun markets and downtown are a few easy blocks to walk. The kitchen is complete for anything you want to prepare and the laundry room is directly connected to this unit. It was all wonderful for the two of us.

Gulfport Flamingo Cotage
Everything was great except the dead batteries in the beeping smoke detector and corroded batteries in the tv remotes. Also no one knew how the tv functioned. The staff came by promptly to change out the batteries

We change batteries in smoke detectors twice a year to try to avoid the batteries going off during a guest stay. It wasn't that no one new how the TV functioned. The TV in the bedroom is Netflix-only and one of the cables had come loose.

Clean & convenient
We loved the location because it was close to Eckerd College (visiting) and down town St Pete. We walked once to the park/‘beach’. A min or two walk. The bed was pretty comfy. Would like to have had one more extra pillow that was thicker. It was nice they had a box fan there. My daughter likes to sleep with a white noise. It also drowned out the sound of people in apartment A arguing. I did let the agency know about the arguing. The place was super clean. A full-size refrigerator and kitchen available for cooking if needed. The bathroom is tiny but was happy with the cleanliness. The agency let us know the day we checked in there would be someone out to fix the shower the next day. We didn’t know there was a problem because it was fine for us. I would have preferred for them to wait until we had checked out. We were only staying two or three nights. I didn’t like that the worker had a code to get inside. Not sure how you can delete a code from a-far!? I have a door code at my own home & it’s not simple to change/add or delete numbers. Maybe their door code is different? It left me a little uneasy. I guess I could have asked her not to send him? The agency was very quick w/replies.

Flamingo Cottage is perfect for two people. The kitchen is remarkable because it is fully stocked with everything you need to cook anything at all. The bedroom is large, the bed is so comfortable. The cottage is bright, cheery, updated and you just won't find the smells and darkness you find in so many other places. And so very close to the beach and downtown too.

Fabulous Flamingo Cottage

Cute Little Cottage Close To Everything
Flamingo Cottage is part of a 3 unit property one block from the is small but has everything you need. The kitchen and bath have been updated and the kitchen cabinets and countertops are very nice. The bedroom is quite large with a comfortable bed and newer furniture.There is a shared washer and dryer which worked out is a great location and you can walk to everything in Gulfport. I want to mention how beautiful all the landscaping is and everything looks awesome lit up at night.Our only complaint would be the water pressure was low quite frequently. We had a very pleasant two weeks!

The online photos depict the unit very well. It was very clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. The owners were very accommodating. The cottage is a short walk to several restaurants and an easy drive to a host of beaches, shops and more! To anyone who is looking to get some r and r in Gulfport and not have to do a lot of driving and would prefer to be in a neighborhood with quick and easy, walkable access to restaurants, sports bars, the library and beach, THIS is IT!... Beth's Flamingo Cottage is perfect for two people and maybe one or two kids. If you're going in a family group nearby adjoining properties are also available. We certainly enjoyed our stay. The cottage is exactly as shown and there is a cozy garden at the back with a gas grill and full laundry. Beth is readily available via phone for any questions or concerns.

Cozy Cottage
The cottage was roomy enough and very clean. Owner extremely helpful and accommodating. I enjoyed the advantage of a full kitchen in addition to the wonderful restaurants in Gulfport. My favorite restaurant discovered was Mangia Gourmet as it also caters to those who are gluten free and vegan. Even if you are not following one of these eating plans, the food, bakery items, atmosphere and welcoming servers are amazing. One block from the beach and a couple blocks to the main street full of shops and restaurants. Extremely quiet neighborhood. First Friday and third Saturday are the Gulfport art walks. Great location to St. Pete beach, Fort De Soto Park, downtown St. Pete.

Flamingo Cottage 5 Star Review
My husband and I rented Flamingo Cottage for the entire month of January 2016. We found the cottage to be **** and span and ready for our arrival. We love the property (yard, patio) which is well maintained. We found the appliances clean and in good working order. The gas grill was in good shape. Plenty of storage, good size bedroom. The only down side is the small bathroom and shower. One advantage of this rental is having direct access to the laundry room. The location is perfect, a block from the beach and Gulfport Recreation Center and is just a few blocks from Beach Blvd. and the casino. This was the second time we rented this property and would consider renting again. Also pet friendly. Also has Wi-Fi, and 2 flat screen tvs.

Daughter's Wedding
Our daughter lives in Gulfport and was getting married in Oct and wanted us close by,and suggested a rental place. I looked on line and yours met our needs. We didn't get to spend a lot of time at the cottage but we found it very comfortable and clean when we was nice to have a washer and dryer on site too. It is on a quite street and close to the beach which we liked, as we did get to walk down and enjoy it a couple of times. It was nice to have restaurants to enjoy good food. If you want a clean, quite comfortable place to stay Flamingo Cottage is your place.

Loved this location for the Vision Sciences conference at St. Pete's Beach. About a 12 min drive to the hotel, with a good grocery store (Publix) about a 10 min drive. One block from the water, and the wonderful little shops and restaurants of Gulfport. Plus, the smartphone app they provide is fantastic for info and checkout. Highly recommended

Perfect place to stay in Gulfport
This was our second stay at Flamingo Cottage. The location is perfect. It's in a little neighborhood just a block from the beach and two blocks from the main street of Gulfport. We love walking --and we walk everywhere, at anytime of night and day. The restaurants are always enjoyable, and it is easy to take your lunch to the beach, whether from "home" or a restaurant. Gulfport is an easy jumping off point to walk Pass-a-Grill beach or head into wonderful St. Pete.

Faboulous Two Week Stay
For the past 35 years I have literally lived in high rise hotels, many 5 stars...traveling as a speaker/consultant. On vacation my husband and I love quiet, ground floor cottages within walking distance to the beach and cafes. Gulfport is an eclectic, quiet town...plenty of walking streets, parks and the waterfront overlooking St Pete along the bay. We loved the shops, great restaurants, the Farmers market on Tuesdays and cooking in two meals per day. If you are looking for a well appointed clean cottage with all the comforts of home for rest and relaxation, I highly recommend the Flamingo Cottage. We loved our time there and will be back for a longer stay the next time. A great location for day tripping to Sarasota, Tampa, St Pete or Clearwater.

Great place!
This was our first trip to Gulfport, Fl & first time renting a cottage from Splashy Ventures. We truly enjoyed Gulfport & surrounding area. Gulfport is a very pet friendly town, we loved the farmer's market on Tuesdays and hanging out at the bars/restaurants. There's also a pier for fishing and a nice park along the beach. As for Flamingo Cottage it was just perfect for two & a small pet. It was very clean, nicely furnished, there was ample kitchen supplies & equipment, the bedroom was large, huge closet, ample drawer space, very comfortable bed. We had direct access to the laundry room which was a huge plus. The property itself was nicely landscaped, well maintained, the cottage is in a perfect location, just a block from the beach, short walking distance to the pier, many restaurants and bars, parks, etc. Gulfport is very pet friendly. The only disappointment in Flamingo Cottage was the very tiny bathroom which was located off the kitchen. The shower should have had a light as it's very dark and there should have been an exhaust fan. My husband and I hated to leave Gulfport and Flamingo Cottage, we truly enjoyed our two weeks and we will probably be returning next year and most definitely stay at Flamingo Cottage.

We has a lovely stay at Flamingo cottage. A small problem with the shower draining was sorted out very quickly by Sally, who was very pleasant and we has long chats with her on several mornings. The cottage was in a good position for all the places we love.

Flamingo Cottage was perfect!
My husband and I stayed in Flamingo Cottage on our trip from Michigan for a wedding in Tampa. I was looking for something away from the chaos of downtown, touristy areas. Gulfport is exactly what I was looking for. We arrived in the middle of the night and were skeptical about the area as we drove through in the dark. In the morning, it was like a curtain had been lifted and revealed this beautiful village. Brick roads, a short walk to a pristine, quiet beach...we couldn't have asked for better. The town of Gulfport is so charming. Little shops, restaurants...everyone is so friendly!
The cottage is small, but that's what we wanted. It was perfect for the two of us. I think it would be quite crowded for more than two. It is clean and well stocked. We didn't cook here, but if we had, it would have been like cooking at home.
Gulfport is close to many busy areas if that's what you're looking for. Clearwater, St. Pete, Tampa...they are a short drive from Gulfport. Grocery stores are close by and convenient.
If you are thinking of staying here, don't hesitate to do so. We loved it so much that we want to move here!

Fabulous Flamingo
Flamingo is homey and comfortable and totally Florida. Simple but very nice. Everything you could possibly want and you couldn't ask for a better location closer to the beach and the "strip". The only frustration was that all of the information about transportation, restaurants, and other local information was hard to find and not up-to-date. Aside from that, it was a delight.

Home Away From Home
We stayed while work was being done on our home. We were happy to find a place that allowed us to bring both our dog AND cat. We were afraid we'd have to board our cat at the vets. It was so nice that the cat didn't even hide away! And we enjoyed our long walks around the neighborhood, allowing our dog to make many new "doggy friends"! Wonderful place!

Had a great time
Chose the Flamingo cottage because of price and location near Gulfport Casino which is dance hall. We were able to take in two dances during our stay. The restaurants with in walking distance were great most with outdoor seating Close to gulf beaches and we found lots to do in St. Petersburg.

Much needed time away
We had a wonderful time. It was the perfect time to go....warm after PA winter but not hot. Lovely little town feeling and very friendly people. I can't wait to go back.

Perfect in Pink
Flamingo Cottage was an ideal location for all amenities, everything was so accessible but best of all were the bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The cottage was delightful and comfortable with the gardens front and back being an added bonus.

The vacation itself was very satisfying except that on the reservation it said 1-4 people. When we arrived we learned that the couch was changed for one we couldn't open and my son had to sleep on an air mattress.That's all.

We had a great time at the Flamingo Cottage and the Gulf Port area. A wonderful place if you have dogs. Everybody loves your dogs. Very nice for eating out you can bring your pets with you and set while you eat. We had a dog stroller which made it very nice.
The only complaint was the bed is a little squeaky.

A couple of weeks in Paradise
We loved the Flamingo experience. The cottage was just the right size and pretty handicap accessible since I came with a broken leg. We found he parking lot pretty dark and could have used some hand rails by the shower.

Gerat dass at Flamingo Cottage
We had a great time at Flamingo Cottage, almost everything was perfect (except the sleeping Couch was unconfortable...).
To the Beach just a short walking distance and a playground for our kids.
