Come discover a lush haven within walking distance of the beach, where mature palms and large oak trees shade a grassy yard and tropical shrubs and flowers add a splash of color.
Palm Cottage is one of three rentals on this property, but you'll never feel crowded by your neighbors. Bring your four-legged family member along - small pups are welcomed and well-loved at our retreat.
A DAY AT PALM COTTAGE
Sunlight and seashore spirit will greet you when you awake. An ocean-hued master suite features a queen-size bed and flat-screen TV, plus a closet, chest of drawers and dressing table to keep you looking your best throughout your stay. The adjacent palm tree-themed guest bedroom has a full-size bed, armoire and flat-screen TV.
Steps away from both is the recently remodeled bathroom. Refresh with a walk-in shower with pristine subway tile, and get ready for the day ahead at a large granite vanity.
Take your morning cup of coffee to the enclosed sun porch, where you can gaze across the hedges and lawn to a sleepy street. Or flip pancakes and crack eggs in the kitchen - featuring a full suite of new stainless steel appliances and all the cookware and silverware you'll need - then feast at an elegant wooden dining space for four.
The open design of our gathering space makes it ideal for intimate get-togethers. Serve snacks on the kitchen bar while the group sips wine in a comfortable living room with charming rattan furniture and bold, Floridian patterns. Or set up dessert in the dining room while enjoying your favorite flick on the flat-screen TV in the living space.
A string-lit patio with gas BBQ sets the scene for memorable dinners at home. Grill up your favorites and savor them at the shaded table for four, surrounded by tropical fauna.
LIFE ON THE WATER

There's almost always something happening in this charming old school community-from art walks to farmers' markets, sailing regatta to sandcastle contests. And when there's not, a vibrant dining scene and easy access to the 38-mile Pinellas bike trail lets you create your own excitement.
We make it easy to see the sights with complimentary bikes.

Home Away from Home
The Palm Cottage is your home away from home. Excellent location. Everything—restaurants, bars, shops, beach, library, theater, parks (except grocery stores)—are all within easy walking distance. Saint Pete Beach and Saint Pete City are each only 15-20 minute drives away. The cottage itself is very comfortable, clean and well appointed. We have stayed in rentals where everything was furnished by Walmart, but this is not the case for this bungalow. The kitchen has every imaginable tool and accessory that you could possibly need. It is better stocked than my home kitchen. The beds are comfortable, and there are televisions in every room. If there’s any limitation, it’s that you have to walk around the house to access the outdoor patio and grill as well as the laundry room. But, these are absolutely inconsequential compared to the benefits of this extraordinary vacation property.- Anonymous from Rehoboth Beach, Posted: 2/4/2023
Palm Cottage
Palm cottage was everything we had hoped for. Well appointed, clean and all in a beachy community. Beth, our hostess could not have been more gracious and responsive. Mother/daughter getaway
We loved this charming little house as well as the location. Walking distance to food, drink and shopping and a quick easy drive to beaches on the gulf as well. Perfect size for two adults wanting a little privacy but also rain to enjoy time together. Kitchen is well appointed with everything you need.- Anonymous from West Lafayette, Posted: 8/11/2022
Great, again...

What a gem! So much charm. Not our first or last stay in Gulfport
Such a quaint home in a quaint town. Superb location and comfortable home. The living and porch were roomier than I expected. Our kids loved finishing two of the puzzles offered at the cottage. The digital display screen with reminders and recommendations was a great touch. The kitchen was fully stocked and the a/c was lovely. The grounds are gorgeous. We threw the football in the yard, grilling out, and sat with the chairs facing the ocean. We used the bikes and did not regret one second of them. Pias Italian restaurant is quite authentic and if you drive for the view at Woodys in St. Pete Beach, you will not be disappointed. We drove to a small park next to the marina and fished off a few of the many docks located within beaten trails while our son rode his bike. The Sea Breeze Manor is so close and offers a great breakfast. We hope to stay again at the beautiful Palm Cottage.- Anonymous from Beverly Hills, Posted: 7/7/2022

This is our second time renting Palm Cottage and fourth time renting from Splashy Ventures. Cute Cottage In A Perfect Location
We stayed at Palm Cottage for 2 weeks in June 2021. The cottage is very clean and has most everything you need and more! The only thing we missed was having a Keurig coffee maker. The cottage is part of a three unit property but very private and beautifully is located one block from the beach and a 5 minute walk to all the cute, funky shops and restaurants on Beach Blvd.We love Gulfport. The people are friendly and it has that artsy Key West vibe! Beth the property manager is very easy to deal with and the Digital Concierge is awesome! This is the third Splashy Venture property that we have stayed in Gulfport and will definitely come again.Hope to return next year!- Anonymous from Monument Beach, Posted: 6/26/2021
Perfect for us and our dog
We loved the place. we arrived with a small dog, expecting a "doggy" place and we were wrong! The house was very clean and fit us perfectly.
We have never seen a better equipped kitchen. You could prepare a 4 course meal if so desired.
The location is just right for strolling to the beachfront or to Beach St for the shopping and food.
The "needed" shopping like groceries, pharmacy, etc. are near by, as well as St. Pete Beach or Fort Desoto ( cool beaches).
The beds and bath were great.
Gulfport is a small town of bungalows from a working past that are being renovated into a great small town. We can't wait to get back and will book this home again.- Anonymous from Palm Coast, Posted: 5/22/2021
A Happy, happy weekend!!
I rented this house, sight unseen, for a small family get together. My adult children who stayed in the house were absolutely thrilled with it. The charm of the cottage, the peaceful surroundings, and the location. They suggest that I make arrangements for an annual stay here!- Anonymous from St Petersburg, Posted: 5/13/2021
Fabulous location
This is a nice little house, with many amenities. Kitchen is well stocked, the patio and grill are great! Perfect location to town, close but you don’t hear the late night music & 1 block to the beach. Laundry was great! New couches were nice. We loved the front porch. The down side is that the house smells faintly of mold. It only suits 4 people, as there is no where to keep a blowup mattress, and no sofa bed. The queen size mattress should be replaced, it sags pretty bad. Our dog loved the house and we were very comfortable there with lots of places to walk.- Anonymous , Posted: 2/27/2021
Cozy cottage in a great location!
My husband and I stayed here for 3 days and had a blast!
Palm Cottage is so cute and cozy and has all the amenities you need. The location is amazing as well! You are within steps to the water and just a short walk to the main strip in Gulfport with all the restaurants and shopping your heart desires.
The property owners were so kind and very responsive, which is always a huge plus. :)

Palm Cottage, Gulfport, Florida
My husband and I stayed at Palm Cottage October 1st thru December 29th 2018 and enjoyed every minute of our stay. Palm Cottage is located on a beautifully landscaped corner lot which offers a private patio along with a gas grill and covered seating area. The cottage is well maintained, clean and nicely furnished, the kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need including a crockpot, blender, toaster, etc. and there is Wi-Fi service. The property manager is always on call and extremely helpful no matter the hour. The location of the cottage is perfect, just a few feet down the street from Boca Ciega Bay, a children's play area, the Gulfport Recreation Department, the beach area and several picnic pavillions plus volley ball courts. A short distance further is the Gulfport Casino, many restaurants and bars, the fishing pier and Veterans Park. We really enjoy Gulfport as it's a pet friendly town and the locals are very welcoming. A short drive from Gulfport are two Wal-Marts, a Publix, many restaurants, Tyrone mall, movie theater, banks, shops, etc. About 4 - 5 miles you can reach St. Pete Beach and
the Gulf of Mexico. And a 15 minutes drive you can be in downtown St. Petersburg. We highly recommend having breakfast at The Frog Pond on St. Pete Beach, having lunch at the Kopper Kitchen Off Central Ave. and 58th Street, St. Pete and for some fantastic good eats for dinner, Cody's Roadhouse. Needless to say we highly recommend Gulfport and Palm Cottage and hope to return in the near future.

A Fabulous Getaway
This was our second time to visit Palm Cottage. We love the artsy, small-town vibe of Gulfport and the cottage truly is a home away from home. Palm Cottage, Gulfport, Florida
Our December 2017 vacation in Gulfport was one of the best vacations mainly due to the wonderful accommodations of Palm Cottage. Upon our arrival we fell in love with this charming cottage with it's open floor plan, hardwood floors, fire place and beachy decor. The furniture was very comfortable, kitchen well stocked, bathroom a good size with a walk in shower, bedrooms nicely decorated, ample storage and closet space. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the porch and I took advantage of the large gas grill located on the side patio. The cottage is located on a well maintained corner lot, just a block from the bay/beach and within walking distance to restaurants, pier, parks, library and recreation center. This was our fourth year vacationing in Gulfport and each time we've rented from SplashyVentures (Flamingo Cottage 2x, Tyn & Marty's and Palm Cottage). The property manager, Beth Sexworth, was extremely helpful, always accommodating to our needs, on call should an issue arise and couldn't be nicer.
Should we return to Gulfport next year we would definitely rent Palm Cottage again.- Anonymous from MONROE, Posted: 1/16/2018Thank you Rita! And our kitties thank you too!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:

Charming cottage with all amenities in a good location, close to beach (no swimming). Quiet neighbourhood but close to nice restaurants and bars.- Anonymous , Posted: 11/17/2017We had a scheduling issue regarding cleaning before his arrival, which is the reason for his low rating. We are monitoring the situation to make sure it doesn't happen again. I'm not sure what he meant by "no swimming". You absolutely can swim there although the beach is not gulf-front.- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Quaint cottage close to nightlife and beach
The cottage was just as described. Very clean and comfortable. The small screened 8n porch was perfect for our morning coffee. The neighbor Hood was very quiet. We were w/i walking distance to a beach on the bayou and the small quaint downtown with shops restaurants and live music. There was even live music at the beach park. Charming Gulfport Cottage
Spent 9 days at Palm Cottage and loved every minute of it. My daughter recently relocated to the area so we planned a family get together here with family coming from Ohio, New York and North Carolina. Cottage was just as described. Great location. Beth was easy to work with and responsive to any questions we had. We Kayak'd at Clam Bayou, rented at electric boat from Simply Sailing in St. Petersburg Marina (ate at Fresco's here too!)ate at Gulfport's Omaddy's and Pia Trattoria and all were delicious. THe Greek Salad from Omaddy's was so good one sister had it 4 nights out of our 9 day stay lol! Ideal Gulfport location.
We decided as a family of 5 to spend 3 nights in Gulfport before heading off to the more traditional Florida locations, and were very glad we did this as it was a great, low key, friendly place to stay. The property is in an excellent peaceful location, with many restaurants (excellent eating) and the waterfront nearby, just five minutes walk away. Property in excellent condition and very well kitted out with kitchen equipment, TV etc, with all our needs well catered for. Property was also well located for easy trips (by car) to St Petersburg (e.g. for Dali), St Pete Beach and magnificent beaches at Fort de Soto park. Elizabeth and SplashyVentures easy to deal with, with clear instructions and tips for guests. The Gulfport tourist office is less than five minutes walk away too. Great, low key place to stay.

We loved the home in Gulfport until the ac went out. The home owner worked with us and immediately got us in another home in Treasure Island. What was a stressful event turned into a great stay at both locations.- Anonymous from Clarksville, Posted: 7/13/2017I'm glad it worked out but so sorry that you had to move during such a short stay. Staycation
My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend and we had a really good experience. Plenty of kitchen utensils so we didn't have to eat out and only a 15 drive to st Pete beach which was awesome!- Anonymous from Bradenton, Posted: 7/12/2017A well-stocked kitchen is one of our signature features! Although it would be great to try the lovely local restaurants the next time you're in the area. Beth- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:

Nice bungalow in a quaint town near the bay.
The house was clean and exactly as pictured. It was in a location central to many areas that we visited in StPetersburg and nearby beaches. The bay/beach area a block away was very nice and quiet. Beth was great to work with too.- Anonymous from Troutville, Posted: 7/4/2017Thanks so much!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Take Me Back Please
Great right from the start, Beth was amazing answering any questions I had. The arrival there was very easy with the directions they suggested. Upon arrival everything was very clean and neat, the kitchen and restrooms had everything we needed. The neighborhood itself very friendly and quiet for relaxing and kid friendly as well. Stores for groceries were just down street. Walking distance from the beach and down the street from very delicious places to dine out. No more than 15-20 minutes from the St. Pete Beach or from Madeira Beach and Johns Pass Village and Boardwalk.- Anonymous from Lewisville, Posted: 6/26/2017Thank you Brenda, come back any time! So glad we found this sweet cottage on our recent weekend in Gulfport. We were in town for a family reunion and this place was perfect for us. The beds were very comfortable and over all convenient. We would stay again for sure.

palm cottage in feb
The cottage itself was great as usual. However, the road construction for the entire time really affected our stay. It was noisy, dirty and dusty, We were unable to park on the property and the workers were constantly flooding the streets. We realize that this was not the fault of the owner as she was as surprised as we were. It was just unfortunate timing. Loved the new appliances and bedroom decor.- Anonymous from Pardeeville, Posted: 3/21/2017All construction on the road was completed the middle of May 2017.- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Palm Cottage
We stayed three nights with our dog. Very clean and welcoming. Everything you could need in the kitchen. Very friendly area, one block from town, and great walks along the water. Dog friendly town too. Nice art fair in town on Tuesdays. Nice to be away from all the traffic and simply walk.- Anonymous , Posted: 2/4/2017Thank you for being such a delightful and helpful guest!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Perfect Bungalow!
We couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. Palm Cottage is cozy and inviting. It also is perfectly located, being only one block away from the bay and another block to great restaurants. The owner answered our questions quickly.- Anonymous from Xenia, Posted: 1/31/2017See you guys next year!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Palm Cottage is so charming
The Palm Cottage is a wonderful home in which to spend a weekend or a few months. It's nicely decorated, updated, has beautiful old wood floors and is 1 block from the bay and all the restaurants/shops in the awesome, quaint beach town of Gulfport.- Anonymous from Brooklyn, Posted: 12/27/2016Thank you Maryellen. Cozy Palm Cottage
Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids under 6) absolutely loved the Palm Cottage. It was cozy, quaint and well laid out. The screened in front room/porch became our hang-out spot. The landscaping was totally FL, including palm trees and a beautiful walkway. The location was perfect, as it's only about 2 blocks away to the water, the pier, a playground and little downtown Gulfport. Gulfport itself is perfectly walkable, and includes several amazing restaurants, shops, coffee shops, and bars, as well as practical businesses like a dog groomer, hair salon and mini-mart.- Anonymous from Bremerton, Posted: 11/29/2016Thank you Jerri!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:

Absolutely Perfect!
This rental was perfect. It was spacious and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. It was really clean and yet had no bleach or cleaner smell at all, which we loved. The location was ideal, just a little walk down the block to the water, and then we were delighted to find a huge farmer's market down the street on Tuesday! Everything was provided for and the entire stay was wonderful. There was even HBO for entertainment. Thank you, Beth, for your professionalism and sharing this beautiful, little home with us for the week.- Anonymous from Land O Lakes, Posted: 6/23/2016You are welcome Janice. Come back if you get the opportunity! Gulfport changes with the season and is always an interesting place. Beth- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Great place for storm watching!
We had a very enjoyable time at this cottage. Despite terrible weather (tropical storm Colin hit during our visit,) the house kept us dry and safe and was a great place for storm watching! The house did lose power for a while, but that is to be expected with these storms in Florida. We loved how close the cottage was to downtown Gulfport, with lots of cute shops and restaurants. The bay beach, only a block away was a good place for walking, but we headed to the gulf (only a 10 min drive) for better sun bathing and swimming. I love to cook and this home had all my needs. Thanks! We would definitely consider visiting again.- Anonymous from Cottage Grove, Posted: 6/18/2016LOL, we hope to NOT include storm-watching with every reservation!!!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Enjoyed Our Stay
This was our first stay at Palm Cottage, and we were very pleased. We have previously stayed happily at Fish Camp, another Splashy Ventures property, and find the manager, Beth, fair, responsive, and pleasant to work with. It's hard to beat Palm Cottage's location in a pleasant neighborhood within easy walking distance of the Gulfport waterfront and downtown with it's shops and terrific restaurants. Palm Cottage itself is attractive, neat, well-maintained, well-appointed, and has a great shower - very comfortable living. We will definitely recommend Palm Cottage and Splashy Ventures to our friends.- Anonymous from Ridgefield, Posted: 5/30/2016Thank you Bob!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Attractive 1925 Gulfport Cottage with Modern Kitchen and Bath
Charming beach cottage, one block from sand. Very attractive property in ideal location in artsy Gulfport. Kitchen is well-equipped for cooking; grill and patio are outside. Bath is modern with good shower. I love the location because you can walk everywhere in town--the library, the sand, or any of the restaurants and shops--but your cottage is on a quiet residential street. Exterior is "old school" and interior has a modern fix with colorful artwork and photographs. Very pretty. Landscaped nicely, too, with brick paths and tall palms and a giant oak and roses. The front screened porch is a good place for morning coffee. There are two small vacation apartments that share the backside of the large lot. Never was an issue at all for us. Gulfport, itself, is an ideal location for proximity to the Gulf beaches. Small town feel, walk everywhere, but St Pete and Pass a Grille beaches are only a 15 minute drive. Property owners are great and quickly respond to any questions--or even concerns, though we had none. I highly recommend staying here.- Anonymous from Westminster, Posted: 4/13/2016Thanks so much for the lovely description of the home and area!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
A great place to stay.
We loved the location of the cottage and have rented from Beth before and find her great to work with. The one thing we found was the living space was very dark. The windows had awnings and the screened in porch (which I loved) contribute to that so I don't know if much could be done about it. The bedrooms were not a problem. We enjoyed our time there very much. The bathroom has been updated and was very nice and clean with a great shower. We would definitely stay there again. Gulfport is a small community but we personally like it because of that and I feel comfortable there. The restaurants are good and cute shops. I found a fabulous quilt shop this visit.- Anonymous from Ft Gratiot, Posted: 4/5/2016We may look into a solartube or two for the living room. We will be replacing windows in the dining area with a sliding patio door, which will also help. I wouldn't say it is very dark by any means, but it definitely could be lighter with a few changes!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:

Great Beach House
Everything went really well. The only thing was we needed beach towels, chairs & umbrella and they weren't there when we arrived. We also thought Gulfport was a beach area and it didn't come close to Clearwater or Maderia beaches which were much better.- Anonymous from Sugar Land, Posted: 9/11/2015

Palm Cottage Stay
This was a very cute house-clean and the town of Gulfport was cute. The only thing about the location is it may be nice to note that the house is second row back from water access--but it is not a swimming beach, it is more of a bay. Also, it would be great if the outside of the front door entrance to Palm Cottage had better exterior lighting. My husband fell and rolled his ankle as he could not see the stairs very well at night :(
Overall, we had a great family vacation and the 'bay' access forced us to get out and explore other beaches close by--Madeira, Reddington, Pass-A-Grille and all were great! Great Explorations Children Museum in St. Pete was a fun way to keep our little girl entertained on our only rainy day there.- Anonymous from Duluth, Posted: 8/12/2015There should be a light right over the steps at Palm's entrance. It comes on at dusk and then gets brighter when activated further by motion.- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:

A Quiet Family Getaway
We loved our stay in Gulfport at the Palm Cottage! The town of Gulfport is quiet and perfect for our young girls. The bay provided a safe place for them to play in the water and Fort Desoto Park was close enough for a more "beachy" experience. We loved walking the town, exploring the Tuesday Fresh Market, playing at the playground, and eating at Tommie's Tiki. The house was the perfect size for us -- the girls shared a bedroom, the kitche was well stocked and easy to cookin, and the front yard and side porch were wonderful places to relax. We will definitely be back!- Anonymous from Lilburn, Posted: 4/28/2015Hi Theresa, I'm glad it went smoothly and you enjoyed the local activities. Thank you for staying with us. Review of Palm Cottage August 2014
We absolutely loved Palm Cottage! It was easy to rent and exactly as was stated in the description. It's well decorated, well appointed and in a great location. It was also immaculately clean. The neighborhood is eclectic, with artists, retirees, and just people making a living. The restaurants and shops in the neighborhood are great, everyone is friendly, and there are dogs everywhere. Gulfport has it's own beach (just a couple of blocks away) and there are lots of popular beaches and attractions nearby. We had a great experience and will definitely stay there again.- Anonymous from Valdosta, Posted: 8/21/2014
relaxing home
Everything we needed or wanted was there! Great area, everyone so friendly, especially the lady that retrieved my sister and I from the pouring rain. Our cottage was spotless, with all we needed! My favorite was the french restraunt , all were in walking distance! Thanks sally(manager) for all your help! See you next summer- Anonymous from Groveport, Posted: 7/24/2014
Fun in Gulfport
The property is a charming little bungalow that is a very close to the beach / main street of Gulfport. Although the property is older, it is well maitained, clean and offers all the comforts of home. The property managers were very responsive and even brought over some beach toys to play with for our 4 year old. Gulfport itself is a vibrant and quirky area of St. Pete. This was our second time staying here and would strongly recommend it. Gulfport is not as touristy as the main Gulf beaches, and has a distinct charm all its own. The local restaurants are fantastic. We would certainly stay here again.- Anonymous from Tampa, Posted: 6/30/2014
Long weekend mini vacation.
Property general condition was satisfied, the area was nice, near to a lot of shopping, restaurant and entertainment. The only think I did not like was the reach itself, beach area very nice, but the beach itself was not a beach but a bay, that was the only thing I did not like ,beach water was dirty. Everything else I recommended/ We rent the place because beach was walking distance and it was, but the water was not nice.- Anonymous from kissimmee, Posted: 6/11/2014
Homey and convenient!
Working on-line can be nervous sometimes but there was never a question the owner failed to clarify right away. Very competent and kind. We upheld our end to leave the place clean and our security deposit was promptly refunded. Definitely would use again and recommend to friends!- Anonymous from Aurora, Posted: 5/22/2014
Relax in comfort by the beach in a little slice of paradise
The management company was very easy to work with and the property was exactly as described. We loved the town of Gulfport and felt right at home in all the local establishments. Everything was within walking distance and the beach was wonderful with beautiful sand volleyball courts, playgrounds and even a fishing pier. We will definitely return in the future and stay at Palm Cottage again.- Anonymous from Warsaw, Posted: 4/27/2014
