Could it get any better? Actually, it can?Bayou Beach House is tucked in the heart of the Marina District, just a short stroll from welcoming cafes, sunny beaches, farmers' markets and art walks, and a whole lot of Old Florida charm.
Visit with another couple, or bring the family and let the little ones camp out on the reading room futon. This cheery bungalow has a boatload of character (think string-lit patios and vibrant color schemes) and has all the necessities (like laundry, WiFi, A/C, and parking) covered, too.
LIFE BY THE BAYOU
Wake up to sunshine in either of the two spacious bedrooms, each with queen-size beds and dresser storage. No living out of a suitcase here! Refresh in the full bath with shower/tub combination, then choose where you'll spend your morning.
Maybe you'll curl up in the reading room with your coffee and favorite novel, or share a pitcher of mimosas on the screened-in porch. Maybe you'll bring your yoga mat to the grassy backyard and find some zen before starting your day. Whatever morning bliss you choose, Bayou Beach House provides the perfect backdrop.
And once you've come home from a day in Gulfport, whip up a fresh seafood feast in the full kitchen. Dine in the vibrant dining area or enjoy an al fresco meal and Mother Nature's nighttime symphony on the patio. Wind down for the evening with a movie on the flat-screen TV, or chat over a bottle of wine in the second living area while planning your next day on the town.
WELCOME TO MARINA DISTRICT
Live like a local in the down-to-earth Marina District, where you can greet the day by shaking hands (and paws!) with residents on their morning strolls. From twice-monthly art walks to farmer's markets, from 4th of July fireworks to Formula One boat races, there's always something happening here. Just ask us?your instant local friends.

We will return!
We liked our stay at this property. It has a very nice back yard for the dogs with a cute beach y atmosphere. The dogs enjoyed the space. The property is very clean and quaint and well equipped with the necessary items for our stay. The location is nice and only a bike ride or a short ride to the Gulfport beach. The beach has a night lift with competitive sand volleyball , music at the local restaurants, people walking on Main Street visiting the local shops and eating at the restaurants. It’s a nice little town. The cottage sits in a residential neighborhood so you get a mix of things. At the end of the street there is the beautiful marina and beautiful walking paths for the dogs. The houses leading to here look very Caribbean. We took the dogs to Fort DeSoto dog beach which is about a 20 minute ride south. It’s an awesome beach with plenty of space, nice people and lots of dogs enjoying their swims. We also hit the beaches up along the coast such as Upham Beach and Treasure Island”. They are all very nice and whichever you decide, you can’t go wrong. We did the Shell Key Island trip that was the 3 hour one: Dolphin and Shell key. It was worth it! I think the Gulf coast is very beautiful and our stay was awesome. No complaints.- Anonymous from The Villages, Posted: 5/31/2023
Stay at Bayou Beach House
The house was delightful, bright and clean and had everything we needed. The TV room/den was our go to room, the screened in porch our breakfast spot and the fenced private backyard a quiet place for relaxing after a day's outing. A great location within walking distance to town and Gulfport's little beach, shops and restaurants and the Clam Bayou Nature Park. Friendly neighbours and a quite neighbourhood. Beth and her team were super responsive to any question or request. Looking forward to going back to Bayou Beach House sometime soon.- Anonymous from Ottowa, Posted: 5/17/2023
Nature Lovers Paradise
Step back from the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy the peace of this marina district cottage. We have vacationed here for several years and found that the management company of this property is exceptional in its organization of the rental procedures and response to any issues that may arise. The cottage is well equipped and its layout can accommodate several activities at once in two separate open spaces. The screened in porch is a perfect spot for early morning coffee, dining, and relaxing in the shade. The backyard provides plenty of space for children to play, bird watching, and grilling. The area is within the designated bike path and bird watching trail, yet still very close to the town center, beach, and lively nightlife.- Anonymous from Providence, Posted: 3/27/2023

Perfect stay in Gulfport Fl
Great place. Photos are accurate Neighbourhood awesome. Walk to town to earn food and drink. :) Management friendly and accommodating- Anonymous from Milford, Posted: 10/26/2022
Nicely renovated home
Nice floor plan with good size rooms. Kitchen & den/tv room were our favorite. Laundry room, patio & yard were all very nice. Neighborhood is a bit run down, but the location is convenient to both Gulfport & St. Pete. The bikes are for very tall people, so didn’t work for us.- Anonymous from Metairie, Posted: 9/26/2022
Perfect vacation home
We had another great vacation in Gulfport and the house has much to do with it. The location is great as it’s close to everything and the neighborhood is very quiet. The home has everything you need with very fast wifi and a nice back yard. A nice plus are the 2 bikes available for use and the bike path is right around the corner. We just love the area.- Anonymous from Sherrington , Posted: 7/30/2022

Bayou Beach House
Excellent as usual. Only concern was the heat level of the hot water, seemed rather low. Otherwise, great stay- Anonymous from Duncan, Posted: 11/29/2021

Cute, cozy house. Driving distance to beaches
Cute cost house. Clean, nice backyard. Pet friendly! 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk to Gulfport beach. 15 min drive to other beaches. Would definitely stay again.
Loved the storyboard providing essential information about the house and all local attractions.- Anonymous from METAIRIE, Posted: 11/12/2021

Lovely Beachy Get Away
We absolutely loved our stay here! Our group consisted of 2 adults and a 4 y.o., and we had such a great time!
The house was perfect for our needs, with everything provided that one would need. The house itself was lovely and decorated comfortably and tastefully with beachy and local items. The backyard created a private paradise, and the grass was so soft! The house was located in a cute little neighborhood that was super quiet, and had all the major grocery stores very near, and lots and lots of restaurants less than 20 minutes away
We were a short drive away from Treasure Island and Madeira Beaches, and even closer to the Gulfport Beach and the nearby playground.
The St. Pete Pier was also super close, and it was wonderful to walk around, and they have a super cool playground there! We were not able to stay for any of the nightlife, but the afternoon life was really fun.
We did enjoy a few days in the Tampa area, and it was surprisingly easy to get to the attractions in Tampa Gulfport; we made sure to avoid the busy rush hour times and did not hit any crazy traffic on the way to and from Tampa.

Adorable Beach House in charming Gulfport
We had a great family vacation in Gulfport. The home was comfortable, spacious, and had everything we needed for a great getaway. We had more than enough room to comfortably spread out! The home was clean and well maintained, and the owner made check in and check out simple. We can't wait to come back!- Anonymous , Posted: 7/14/2021
Peaceful oasis
This adorable cottage in the marine district is within steps from the Bayou Bike Path and less than a mile walk or drive to the Gulfport town center. The home is well equipped with the kitchen and linen essentials. It is conducive for families to gather comfortably, yet has distinct spaces for quiet personal times. While there are many sweet cottages in the area, few have a screened in porch and beautiful backyard that this property offers. We felt that we were truly on vacation but very much “at home” here.- Anonymous from Providence, Posted: 3/24/2021
The Best Backyard in Gulfport!
The home was clean and cute. The fenced backyard was truly an oasis—beautifully landscaped and well maintained. A spotlight out back would be nice. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. We had hoped to be a bit closer to the marina, but it’s a quick car ride to Gulfport Beach Park.- Anonymous from Fernandina Beach, Posted: 10/30/2020Thank you for your kind comments! The backyard really is awesome. Large and open and very green and private! We have added some string lights in the area of the grill and patio table to provide some lighting without being overpowering!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
