Great experience
We loved the Old-Florida summer cottage in Gulfport. It was very clean and close to the heart of Gulfport. The property manager, Beth, was great to work with. We would definately stay there again.

Loved the location. Restaurants on the main street are just a few steps away and a short walk to the beach. Nice little cottage that was perfect for a little getaway. If you're visiting the Gulfport area, this home would be great for a small group or family.

I have to mention a quiet neighborhood and great location - everything you want to visit in Florida at spring time is within a reasonable drive time.

Our excellent stay at Tyn & Marty's Summer Cottage
Second time we have stayed here & both experiences were excellent, we stayed a month both times. Home is clean, fenced yard for dogs & great location, parks, so many good restaurants & shops within walking distance.Beth is a pleasure to work with & there for you when you have questions. We love staying there, hard to leave!! Will definitely stay there when we can. Highly recommend!!

Charming Cottage Perfect for Relaxing and Recharging
I wanted a place to relax, recharge, spend some time alone and just get away. This cottage was the perfect place to do that. It is full of charm and character and was very clean. I felt safe in the area and the house was such a short walk to the main street in Gulfport that I barely needed to use the car I rented. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent it again.

Awesome location!
Cute little cottage! I stayed here for a week with a 6, 2, and 9 month old. Elizabeth was very attentive to my concerns and responded very quickly.
Pros-
All the natural soaps/cleaning products.
Beds are very comfortable!
Only a few blocks to downtown. Very walkable with a stroller.
Cute yard area for the kids to play, although not fenced in.
Cons-
No dishwasher. It seemed like I washed dishes all day for the 4 of us.
Very small, especially the kitchen area for meals, it would be great for a couple who plans on eating out a lot!
I would stay here again in a pinch, but would prefer a more family friendly place.

We LOVED this cottage!
We spent the summer traveling throughout Florida and stayed in Air BnBs. This was our last stay and our favorite. Cottage was spotless! Comfortable, nicely decorated, great amenities and perfect location. The hostess was so helpful and prompt to respond. My spouse, my mini-dachshund, and me cannot WAIT to book and stay again. This is now our "go-to" cottage in Gulfport. Is weekend of December 19th open? See you soon!

An delightful old-Florida Cottage
Beth was an absolutely wonderful property manager for this cottage. Her communications were timely and clearly expressed. She was involved without being intrusive and was always responsive when we had a question. The two of us stayed with our Labrador Retriever. It was a great location for him -- just a few blocks from the dog park and lots of dog-friendly parks. We especially enjoyed taking him to Clam Bayou (formerly Osgood Point) on the Gulfport Side. Across Clam Bayou but back in St. Petersburg (a short drive down Pasadena Avenue to 37th St, go south to 34th Ave South and turn right -- it dead ends at the park). There is a small beach, a walking/biking trail, a doggie water fountain, and a lake. Be careful around the lake -- after all, this is Florida and there are alligators. The house location is just steps away from Beach Boulevard with Siri's, Backfin Blue Cafe, Pia's, and Gulf Perk. Of course, the COVID pandemic has changed eating out but one can still get take out and some places have outside dining. You will have to check at the time of your visit. Gulf Perk has a delightful outside patio and welcomes our canine friends -- they also have a great cream cheese, lox, bagel, capers, and cilantro meal. Enjoy Gulfport, we do often.

Gulfport is very pet-friendly with many restaurants setting up special watering stations and such for fur-friends. Tyn & Marty's is an excellent location to explore the town. Just one block off Beach Blvd but with a private yard and low noise.

Excellent rental
The home is charming, very clean & has everything you need. Nice fenced area for the dogs. Beds were comfortable, nice size tv. Within walking distance of 2 parks, 7 mins to the beach & Bocca Ciega Bay, 10 mins to the Gulf beaches. Excellent restaurants within walking distance, my favorite is O'Maddy's. Close to Tampa, 35-40 mins, St Pete 10 mins & Sarasota, abt 45 mins. Love this area, lots to do, good food, good shopping. Beth is wonderful to work with as are the owners. Had a small problem, taken care of immediately. Hope to return this November.

Great little cottage in Gulfport, Florida
Rented this cottage for my daughter and her family. WONDERFUL! walking distance to the quaint village of Gulfport with shops and restaurants. short drive to St. Pete Beach, which is one of the nicest in the country. Beth the property manger is outstanding and accessible. She stays in communication and is most helpful. if you are looking for a clean 2 BR with one bath, this is the place.

We enjoyed our stay at Tyn and Marty's home. It is vintage as is described but very comfortable and all we needed as far as kitchen equipment, linens, tv's, etc was provided and worked well. We very much liked the location as we could walk one block to the Tuesday farmer's market and a bit further to the quaint Gulfport Beach area and enjoy the sidewalk bistros and shops along the way. Beth at Splashy Ventures management is always very responsive when booking and getting details on the home. The yard is pleasant and although the house borders a well-used road the palms in front shield the outdoor sitting area from view and noise. There is a nice sized fenced area off the side door that is great for any pets to roam and stay contained. Pleasant experience.

Really cute cottage just around the corner from the boho town of Gulfport which is just 15 minutes to the beaches. Very clean and comfortable. We requested a thick mattress pad for one of the bedrooms and it was promptly delivered and helped with comfort. I would rent again!

Fun in the Sun
We spent a month in this charming cottage. It was just the right size for us and our two labradors. It is conveniently located near Beach Blvd. which is lined with shops and restaurants, and easy walking to the beach. It's a block to the library and two blocks to the dog park. Gulfport was easy to walk around and ride your bike in. Fort DeSoto beach was great! From this location it was easy to explore the warehouse district and the arts district and the waterfront of St. Petersburg. We really appreciated the keyless lock.

Old Florida Bungalow in a Great Location
The cottage is in a great location within a very short walk to Beach Blvd.where all the funky shops and great restaurants are. The cottage is "tired"and would be so much better with a kitchen and bathroom update. I found the bed in master bedroom very uncomfortable. It was wonderful having a washer and dryer there and lots of information about places to eat and places to see. Beth the property manager was easy to work with and very accommodating.This was our first visit to Gulfport and we loved the area. Many great restaurants on Beach try and take a drive to Fort DeSoto which has an amazing beach! We will be back, hopefully for a longer period of time!

Tyn & Marty's Cottage
My husband and I rented Tyn & Marty's Cottage all of Nov. & Dec. 2016. Upon our arrival we found this cute home all ready for us, very clean and smartly furnished. Due to medical issues we needed help in unloading the car, Beth arranged to have someone meet us to help unload our car. I am forever grateful. Both bedrooms were roomy and had plenty of storage although the second bedroom closet was used for the washer and dryer. The living room was very spacious and comfortable. We loved the hardwood floors, back porch and large patio area. The kitchen was well stocked and bathroom bright with plenty of storage and counter space. The only downside was the yard which needed a little TLC. The location was perfect for us, walking distance to many eateries, shops, the library, senior center. The best part of our stay was meeting Beth and Terry who were in town. They couldn't have been nicer and more helpful and generous. They really made us feel at home and comfortable. This is the third time we've rented properties from Splashy Ventures and have always been happy with the rentals. Thank you Beth and Terry for making our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend Tyn & Marty's and Flamingo Cottage, another property we've rented in the past.

Good Stay at Tyn & Marty's
We had a good stay at Tyn & Marty's. The cottage is clean and functional. We stay in Gulfport often visiting our son, and are getting to know the area quite well. It is an easy walk from Tyn and Marty's to Gulfport's shops, restaurants, and waterfront, and it is always a pleasure to walk the quiet neighbor hood streets. Be sure to eat at Pia's and Isabel's in the Peninsula Hotel and have breakfast at Stella's. Neptune is an excellent regular go-to spot for an inexpensive meal, and Trivia night at Spinnaker's is fun.

If you do nothing else, stay at a Splashy Ventures property. Beth and her staff are friendly, responsive and always feel close by.

February adventure
We found Gulfport to be a very friendly community. The home was conveniently located within walking distance of the downtown area, the water & restaurants. The Tuesday market was great. The home was not as clean as I would have liked. The first time I changed the sheets, there were short, dark dog hairs all over the mattress pad making it necessary to wash it. The day before we were to leave I discovered sewer water from the home coming out across the back yard. I notified maintenance & hope they fixed it before the next renter. For renters staying more than a week they should invest in better mattresses.

The "sewer water" was a backup in the plumbing caused by guests using "personal wipes" and flushing them down the toilet rather than tossing them in the bathroom trash can as is appropriate. Flushing of feminine hygiene products and personal wipes can cause any home's plumbing to backup. We do thank them for notifying us immediately. We would also appreciate notification that anything is not clean as soon as practical!

Extended Stay
Nice, clean and simple old-fashion cape cottage within walking distance to the waterfront area, shops and restaurants. Pleasant area. Easy access by car to St Pete's Beach and downtown St Petersburg. Could use some updating in the kitchen but otherwise quiet and comfortable. Managers were pleasant, attentive and responsive. I would/may rent it again.

Great Location!
We stayed in multiple locations in the Gulfport area while our condo was being renovated and the thing that really stands out for this stay was the location. We were within walking distance of everything the Gulfport Waterfront District has to offer! My wife and I would definately recommend any of the Gulfport Splashy Venture properties. They have an awesome formula and each location was consistently equipped with everything you need. You will not be disappointed.

We moved our daughter to Eckerd for her freshman year. We chose a house over a hotel because it gave us a chance to unwind comfortable for less money. It was close to shops, restaurants, and the beach. It was a good choice and a nice area to stay.

Great Gulfport Beach Cottage!
Cute and very clean house. Beth, the owner, was very friendly and replied quickly and professionally. The cottage is so convenient to everything in the area and just the right size for our long weekend getaway. Short walk to all the waterfront restaurants. New fenced-in area out back was a very welcome surprise since we had our pups with us. The house and kitchen were stocked with everything you might need! I highly recommend this cottage and owner!

Perfect Getaway
The overall stay was outstanding...the location could not have been better...within walking distance to the public library, the shops in downtown Gulfport and the beach. The cottage itself was clean and had ample supplies as well as towels, wash cloths, etc. The bed was very comfortable. The TV in the living room was great.
There was no need to contact management since everything was explained very well in the instructions left...especially how to connect to WiFi when it goes out.
The one suggestion I would make is to have a hand bar installed in the shower.

Getaway in a Gulfport.
The house was really cozy, had everything we could have needed. Particularily loved the porch and outside area. The women at the property management office was our only negative. We were having trouble with the TV, and her helpful answer was "have you turned it on?" Really ??????

Charming Cottage by quaint town cafes.
his charming cottage is within 5-10 minute walk to dog park, playground, library,sidewalk cafes, and small beach area and park. Their is a nice courtyard with grill, tble and chairs for outside dining and the home was spacious and clean.

Great Vacation Rental
We have rented from this owner for the last five years. This is the third property and all of the properties are very clean, fully stocked and very comfortable. The locations are wonderful and you can really relax. We plan on staying at this property again on our next vacation. We highly recommend!
