Great Location, Perfect set up
We were in town to visit Tropicana Field. The house was the perfect location close to restaurants and Beach and a short uber to the stadium to see the game. House had a very spacious lay out was perfect for not feeling claustrophobic. The screened in porch was great for a bug free outdoor experience. Beth was over the top available for any questions and extremely helpful through the whole booking process. I would 100% book here again.

Wonderful Vacation Rental

Great place to stay!
Great place to stay, close to the center of Gulfport! Walking distance close. Easy to get an Uber if you want to hit St Pete’s. The house was awesome, 3 separate bedrooms, 2 full baths, full kitchen, 2 separate sitting areas inside and out.

back for the 4th time!
We traveled with our dog for a return to Gulfport for holiday festivities.
We keep coming back to Dolphin House because we know it will be clean, neat, well stocked with kitchen amenities and very comfortable. It also is within walking distance of Beach Street, waterfront and the Veteran's Park. The small yard is great for our small dog, and the house is large enough that I could hold video meetings for work in the front and not disturb my wife in the living room.
We will return in the spring.

Great House, Better Location
If you need to find a house that has it all and allows pets this is it. Very clean and has a new mid modern vibe to it. A short walk to the shops, restaurants and beach that Gulfport has to offer. We would rent again so highly recommended

It’s Got it All
I want to start out by saying that I have rented over 10 different homes using VRBO and this one is in my top three. The Dolphin House has everything you could possibly need for your stay, from the most obvious needs, to the more obscure yet thoughtful additions. It was super, super clean but not sterile. You immediately feel like you’re in your own home. You take your shoes off and relax. You can also pack light because there’s a full size washer and dryer. No fumbling with keys because the doors have a keypad lock system that worked EVERY time. Gulfport is a delightful artist community that is laidback and inclusive. We loved it! Also it’s a simple 15 minute drive to St Pete Beach. Owner Beth Sexworth has unprecedented communication with you prior to your arrival and there’s an interactive electronic concierge kiosk in the dining room that you use to check in and check out. I’ve never seen anything like it! Amazing. No question that I would rent this particular property again and from Splashy Inc in general.

Such an AMAZING place

Wonderful stay
Wonderful place to stay. They truly have thought of everything to make your stay more comfortable. The home is very spacious, clean, and a short walking distant to downtown shops and the gulf water area. This is not ocean area just so you know there is a difference. Exactly as Described
We love visiting Gulfport, FL and we love this rental. The description and pictures are on point! The location is literally one block from “downtown” Gulfport and the Gulfport Beach is about a block and a half away. It’s an inlet beach with very small wave action which makes it perfect for our granddaughter, age 2, who was traveling with us. Take time to walk the beach and sit behind the recreation building & skate park if you want to see dolphins and manatees in the bay. And for those of you who are still playing Pokémon Go, this is a hot spot for poke stops! A short drive to many other beaches directly on the gulf. We found those to be more touristy. This location is perfect and there is plenty of beach gear at the house including a wagon to pack for a day in the sun and sand.
This house is designed as two living spaces with the kitchen connecting them. While baby was sleeping in the front of the house, grown ups could visit in the back of the house without worry of waking her. Same was true in the morning, grandma and grandpa slept in the back bedroom and didn’t even realize baby and her dad were awake.
We definitely plan to stay here for future family vacations.
Shout out to Beth and her team for recommending Pack Less, Play More for baby gear rental. We rented a crib, high chair and stroller. Made life so much easier.
Stay here to recharge and relax. Slow paced town with plenty of restaurants, coffee houses and souvenir shopping. There were two bikes available for us to use but we didn’t have time. We were too busy relaxing and enjoying the perfect weather of April in Florida.
We highly recommend going to the St Pete Farmers Market in Saturday morning and the Gulfport farmers market on Tuesday mornings.

A Great Home, a Great Time, in a Great Neighborhood
So close to the "happenin'" Waterfront District, you can smell the shrimp a boilin' and hear the music drifting out from the bayside restaurants. My wife and our labrador had a wonderful time exploring the neat shoppes and bistros along the way. The house (with a fenced in backyard) was just perfect for our pup. It is also very clean, with all the amenities you need for outdoors - bikes, grills, patio furniture, screen-in back porch - and indoors - multiple 4K TV's, King bed, small library.
Beth and her crew at Splashy Ventures were very helpful in getting us up-to-speed. (The electronic concierge directed us to all the home's amenities and area attractions with a touch of the screen!)
Would gladly return to this vacation getaway and certainly recommend to a friend.

This house exceeded expectations. we came dogs and they enjoyed the yard and the house was dog-friendly. The kitchen has ever toy you need and better quality on some things than we use at home. Great Place!
We really enjoyed the house and it was nicer than then the pictures showed. Everything was within a short drive including grocery’s, restaurants and a neat town of Gulfport. A couple minor things. We were a bit under the impression there was a swimming beach within walking distance, that is not the case. There is a cool little walking area but if you intend to walk to a swimming beach it isn’t right there. Nothing to do with the property but traffic is so slow there :). We would 100% stay in this exact same house.

Relaxing respite in Dolphin House!
Two couples shared this house for two weeks in wonderful Gulfport. This house is very well located -- close to everything yet very quiet. It is a lovely home. It has a split floor plan that allows some privacy, which is a nice thing. It is comfortably furnished and very pretty. The kitchen is very attractive, well-appointed, and has everything needed to cook meals, and there is a nice gas grill outside as well. We had all of our meals outside at the table provided there, and really enjoyed that. There is a nice library of books to read, televisions with Roku provided, and really every convenience for a vacation. I highly recommend Dolphin House; this is the second time we have rented it, and we are likely to do so again. Beth, the property manager, is very nice to work with as well. And Gulfport is a fabulous town with great restaurants, a pretty beach, and a nice arts scene.

Lovely and clean home in great location
Our stay (family of 4) at the Dolphin House was wonderful. The house was very clean and laid out well. Walking in the front of the home, you enter a nice living room and to the right is a small hallway with linen closet (well stocked with extra linens and quilt). Off this hallway was 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. All nice sized and ample lighting/storage. Back thru the first living room is the walk thru kitchen (recently updated nicely) with everything you could need, ample counter space and multiple coffee makers. Then you walk into a dining and living room combination that was very comfortable. To the right was a small hallway with large master bedroom, bathroom and separate room for laundry and cleaning tools. We appreciated the collapsible wagon for the beach. The outdoor space was beautiful and very private. Completely fenced in for our dogs. Dolphin House was all one level and in great condition. We’ve rented many homes in the past and this was the cleanest and best layout. We also appreciated the easy walk into the cute downtown, only a couple of blocks away. We discovered Tutto Bene down the street and only a 1 minute walk. It was the BEST Italian restaurant outside of Italy (and we lived in Italy twice)! We ate there 4 nights out of our 4 night stay. It was reasonably priced and absolutely delish with a large outdoor space and great ambiance and service. The Tuesday morning art market in town was lovely too. We bought some handmade jewelry and tea. It was an easy drive to St Pete’s downtown and beach area, but there was also a cute little beach a few blocks away from the house. We also loved that restaurants/park in Gulfport were dog friendly. Completely enjoyed our stay at Dolphin House and will definitely stay there again if/when we visit Gulfport. Also, Beth with Splashy was great to work with. Thank you!

Great Vacation
Dolphin House was even better than described. It is located one block-off Beach Blvd and all that Gulfport has to offer.

Beds and furnishing are comfortable and the fenced backyard was inviting and relaxing.

Highly Recommend Dolphin House
We loved our stay at the Dolphin house. The house was perfect for our group of two couples + two toddlers. It was clean, beautiful, and looked as described. Our vacation rental was excellent from beginning to end! Splashy Ventures made everything easy and Beth, the agent for Gulfport, was very accessible and very helpful. We loved the house--it worked exceptionally well for two couples, as it has two fully functioning living spaces connected by a kitchen. It is airy, perfectly furnished and clean and very pretty. A nice place to be! Location is excellent--a block from Beach Boulevard and the waterfront, but somehow still very quiet. IT also has a lovely backyard area and a covered back porch where it is delightful to sit and read or relax. I highly recommend this property!

Great location and accomodations
When you walk in the front door you just feel at home. The decor and bright interior welcomes you to relax. The bedrooms were large and comfortable. The kitchen had everything you might need if you chose to need it. Nice dining area and two seating areas gave you separation if you need it. A great backyard with subtle night lighting along with a grill and plenty of seating to relax and eat outside if you choose. The yard is completely fenced to keep your dog safe if you have one with you. Gulfport is very dog friendly as are the people you’ll meet. You’re about a block from the water, restaurants, bars, shops, and beach. Lots to do right there as well as just a short drive to the gulf beaches, museums. downtown St. Petersburg, and the airports. A great location and a roomy home to stay in.

Fantastic Gulfport Stay

Great weekend away in paradise!
We had a fabulous weekend at the Dolphin House this weekend with my sister and brother in law. The house was beautifully decorated, well stocked and comfortable. We loved sitting outside in the landscaped yard with festive lights, very relaxing. The house is well situated only a block from the shops and restaurants and a short drive to St Pete and the beaches. We especially liked our beach day at Ft Desota State Park, gorgeous water! Beautiful House / Great Locarion
We were so impressed with the house. It was spotless and very visitor friendly. There wete e en fresh flowers waiting for us. This was our first visit to Gulfport so we were pleased to find we were walking distance from the bay and so many awesome restaurants and nightlife. The landscaping in great in the back as well.
We were a short drive from the beach, the mall, Walmart and the best dog beach park I've ever been to! No surprises with our rental, easy in and out. Highly recommended!

Perfect Home and an Awesome Location
We have spent the last two 4th of July holidays in this home. I am not sure we will be making the drive from Richmond next year, so I am here to tell you to SNATCH THIS HOUSE UP. The town and the fireworks alone make it a steal. Each year, we walk 2 blocks to the waterfront about 10 minutes before the show and are treated to a great show and simply walk back after. Beyond that, the house is adorable, the town is fun, and there are multiple beaches a short easy drive away. The property managers are super friendly and helpful too!

Absolutely Wonderful Stay
Let me start by saying that this house is in a perfect location; walking distance (couple blocks) from entertainment (O'Maddy's) and shopping. The house has EVERYTHING you would need to have in order to be comfortable. The kitchen is stocked and the beds (my pet peeve) were great. They even provided nice, thick towels; not the cheesy ones a lot of properties provide. It was extremely clean and my wife and I are already discussing planning another visit. FABULOUS RENTAL!!!
This rental property was beautiful!!! Extremely clean, kitchen fully stocked with everything you need (and more) to cook! The open floor plan was set up perfectly for relaxing, entertaining and vacationing. 2 bedrooms and living room in the front of the house and 1 bedroom and open concept living/dining area in the back. 2 bathrooms - I loved that the 2nd bathroom wasn't part of the back bedroom (altho it was right next to it) so it was always available for use. We had 6 adults + addl guests some nights and we were VERY comfie! Property Mgrs were very accommodating with top quality blow up beds for our guests that decided to stay overnight. It was 3 blocks from excellent restaurants, bars (with great bands) and shops so there was no need to drive! I live in town but staycationed with my out of state friends as we celebrated all of our 50th Bdays - we had a ball!

The house is adorable and in a PRIME location. Gulfport is charming and the people so nice. All of the beaches are just minutes away, so we went to St. Pete, Madeira, and Pass-a-Grille--each different, but still awesome. Day trip to Sarasota and a Rays game at night. Finally, St. Petersburg is really fun and hip and urban! Lots of good food and breweries! It was a pleasant surprise.

Dolphin cottage was a perfect rental for my boyfriend, my daughter, her husband and myself while we were in the area for my son's wedding last weekend.The cottage was clean, comfortable, and roomy. We were only one block from the fun waterfront area of Gulfport with its wonderful restaurants and artsy shops. I definitely recommend Dolphin Cottage and would love to stay here again on my next trip. I also recommend dining at Isabellas and Pia's Trattoria.

A family weekend getaway
The perfect location for our family of 6 to gather to celebrate my sisters wedding. The property is very well kept and had everything that we needed and more. Gulfport Gem
We spent 4 nights over Easter in this precious home. The rental was immaculate and so conveniently located. We were a short walk to 2 parks, a beach, and multiple shops and restaurants. Gulfport is a charming town! During our stay, there was an Easter egg hunt on the waterfront for children, a spring festival, sunrise Easter service on the beach, and an art walk. We enjoyed a visit to nearby Weedon Island and Fort DeSoto park. Such great memories from our trip!

Lovely House:Great Location
We stayed in the Dolphin House for a month and enjoyed every single day. The house is spacious, comfortable and very well stocked with china, linens, etc. It is also immaculate with upscale furniture- pets are allowed, but you would never know any had been in the house. The location is wonderful- an easy walk to the waterfront and all of the fabulous restaurants in Gulfport. My highest praise goes to Beth, property manager. She responds quickly to questions and if there are any issues ( I left some clothes in the closet on departure day) she readily facilitates a resolution. This property is an outstanding rental in the heart of a fun, cozy community.

Excellent Location
The Dolphin House is ideally situated 2 blocks from the beach and main action of pubs and shops. The house is just like the pictures. Beautiful side and backyard, filled with Palm tress and other trees. Very private indeed. The house itself is very spacious, neat and clean. You don't need to buy anything for cooking, it's all there.
Beth was excellent. I talked to her on the phone and communicated by e-mails and Beth is very responsive.
I certainly recommend The Dolphin House as we would certainly book it again..... and we had excellent weather :)

We've stayed at this house five times over recent years. It is so pleasant, comfortable, roomy and well-located near restaurants and the beach at Boca Ciega Bay. Owner-manager Beth deserves great credit for designing and maintaining this and her other properties. They are not fussy or pretentious--just done with great style and attention to detail, such as: lighting, HD cable tv package, decor, comfortable furniture and landscaping. And--Dolphin House is pet friendly, with a lovely enclosed yard and patio, perfect for our golden retriever. The split design means that you can have friends or relatives stay with you, with their own bedrooms (2), bathroom and living room, with the kitchen and dining area in between the two split areas.

Dolphin House Review
We had a lovely time at Dolphin House and found the accommodations, especially the split floor plan, perfect for 6 adults and an infant so there was separation during the baby's fussy period during the night. We had no complaints, other than the noisiness of the AC compressor outside the master bedroom that was a little distracting when I went to read for a while in the beautiful back yard. The location was also perfect for attending a family wedding at the Gulfport Casino.

Wonderful, roomy, and clean!
My family of 4 came to GulfPort for a short, 2-day getaway to visit a friend. We were thrilled with the layout of the home and how roomy it was. Our teens practically had half of the house to themselves and my husband and I had the other half! The home, however, is very open and flows well. It was easy to move about and move in and out. We already want to come back and will absolutely want to book this particular property. On the last night we had an issue and the management was SUPER responsive. We ended up not needing their solution but appreciated their attention and solution. We absolutely love Gulf Port! We walked to the tennis courts at the park there, walked to restaurants, enjoyed the Tuesday Market, walked to the pier, rode our bikes and explored the neighborhood (and stopped for ice cream), and had a short drive to the beaches. Fantastic location. Very cool neighborhood. We would never get a hotel after this vacation!

Good location and space but needs a bit of a freshen up
Arrived the day after a Hurricane so unsure about what to expect but the house was very impressive and had plenty of room.
Kitchen was a little dated but had everything that was needed.
Local to the town and the beach ( unfortunately that was shut to the effects of the Hurricane )and easy enough to travel around to get to the sights.

Landsberger Review
Would absolutely stay at this house again! It was great! Very spacious with private back patio and grill. We had 7 people total and there was more than enough room. Location was great, very quiet neighborhood. House was very clean, fully stocked kitchen (not including food) and shower towels were provided. If you have more than 6 people I would recommend bringing a few extra shower towels. Beach towels were provided along with chairs.

Review for Dolphin House
Our experience was very good overall. Unfortunately, the slider door from the bedroom to the outside had a latch that didn't work so we could not latch or lock it while we were gone. Also anyone wearing light color socks ended up with black bottoms to their socks.

I checked with the guests who stayed both before and after this guest and neither had any difficulties with the slider door locking. I also checked it myself shortly thereafter and was able to lock it normally. It is possible that she wasn't shutting it completely. If she had contacted me (through any avenue) when she first encountered this problem I would have been happy to send someone to check it out and show her how to operate it if necessary. Regarding the light colored socks and black bottoms, the floor is light colored tile that is very easy to see whether it is clean or not and it is thoroughly mopped as the very last thing as the cleaners are departing. If guests leave doors and windows open during their stay, which is common during beautiful March weather, it is very easy for dust/dirt from the yard to blow in, or if they walk out onto the back patio their socks can also get dirty. We clean our floors!!

Loved staying at the Dolphin house! We had 3 small kids and 3 adults but had plenty of room for us all to be comfortable. It is around a few restaurants (we didn't get to try due to other plans) and walking distance from the bay. I would certainly go back and stay here.

Nice, easy house, nice area
First of all, the pictures do not do this rental justice. It was a nice surprise to enter the home and find it so charming. I'll list the pro/cons.
Pros: Sweet little blue house, a summer Floridian home, set up for renters.
There are three good tvs though the house, so everyone could watch what they wanted. Located one short block from the main Beach st where many restaurants and shops are located. The neighborhood is quiet and we all slept well. It is also a short distance to walk (5 min) down to the 'beach front'; not this isn't really a swimming beach, but has a long pier where folks fish; there is also a small park on the shore. There are a few spots like OMalleys where you can sit outside and almost be on the beach. Pretty area, safe, too. Its a small, relaxed town.
Cons: Its a tiny bit dated, although, you can tell they've put a lot of work into keeping it fresh. The master bedroom is huge and has a patio. The middle bedroom is 'girlish' but pretty, ok for adults, but no good makeup area. The small bedroom is blue/boyish and more child like; but it has a dresser mirror that has the best lighting. And my last con is the early checkout time; 10am seemed so early, especially when the body is on a different time zone; plus they ask you to clean up some things; its not like a maid service where you can just walk out. We spent about an hour cleaning up.
But all in all, we really enjoyed the property and would easily stay again! "Beth", the rental manager, was easy to deal with and 'put up' with my numerous requests and such. She was excellent assisting me.
We loved the convenience of this property and felt safe and comfortable.

Regarding the checkout time, if it's much later than 10 am it just isn't possible to get a house of that size cleaned and restocked in time for another check-in the same day. we had a great stay. A few minor problems. The knobs are worn out on the gas grill, I had to use plyers that I luckily had in my car. And the if nighters on the grill is shot. Also the hand held fire starter stopped working after night one. But other than that the place was clean warm and inviting.

My friends and I came from Philadelphia, PA. for a friends wedding that was held at St. Pete's Beach (only 15-20 min drive). When we first arrived, we were very pleased with the home. It was perfect for the six of us (all couples). Just a block or two away there are several restaurants, If you love seafood I recommend going to Maddies. Their food is AMAZING!

We only had one slight issue (that was caused by the previous tenant) with maintenance but, Beth was right on it and accommodated our needs and the issue was fixed within a reasonable timeframe. We all said we'd love to come back some time and stay here again.

Winter Escape
The Dolphin House was wonderful and just as described. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation home to accommodate two families traveling together. We each had our own space as well as a shared space for cooking and eating.Everything we needed was so easy to find as the kitchen was so well organized with labels in all the cupboards and drawers as to their contents. Gulfport is such an artsy and eclectic town and we were within walking distance to everything. We were also an easy drive to Clearwater, Tarpon Springs and other tourist locations. We highly recommend the Dolphin House to anyone wanting a great vacation home.

Delightful Stay in Gulfport, Florida
This was our third visit to Dolphin House in Gulfport, FL. We love Gulfport and we love Dolphin House. Gulfport is like old-time Florida, quiet and peaceful, easy to park and drive, good restaurants, art walks, and right on Boca Ciega Bay. Dolphin House is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped, including three flat-screen TVs and wi-fi.
Most of all, it is dog-friendly, with a charming fenced-in backyard and patio. The owner continuously makes improvements and upgrades to the property. It is only a short walk to the beach and to the nice restaurants. We will definitely be back again.(The only suggestion I would have is that the larger sofa in the main living room seems to be getting uncomfortable, without enough back support.) Otherwise, everything else is just great!

Perfect Getaway!
This house has plenty of room for up to 8 people and is larger than it may seem. It is stocked and furnished as described, and the outdoor/patio setting is very pleasant. It is in a great location for walking into the little town of Gulfport, which we loved, as well as being easy driving distance of St. Petersburg Beach, downtown St. Petersburg, and Clearwater. The surrounding neighborhood is very modest, but safe.

There's no place like home

DOLPHIN HOUSE REVIEW
Had a great stay in Gulf Port. Dophin House was a lovely property with lots of space. Deceiving from the outside but very spacious on the inside.
All equipment in the house worked and was very easy to operate.
One issue with a few insects but I think expected in this climate. Bug sprays were available in the house so were used.
Location was good but as with most places in Florida a car is needed to get around.
Would recommend this location for a quiet and relaxing holiday.

Great House
Nice house. All new appliances inside, tile floors, spacious family room and master bedroom. Nice covered patio with large gas grill. Paver walkway around back and side of house with lighted landscape and six foot privacy fence. House is very pet friendly.
