Just perfect!
Residential neighborhood but just a few minutes walk to the water and restaurants. Although compact, the unit is wonderfully equipped, especially the kitchen. And love the lanai! Easy drive into St. Pete for the museums and gardens. We had our dog and checked out the dog beach and dog park at Fort De Soto, which was so fun. The property manage is super efficient and helpful. We’ll be back!- Anonymous from Jacksonville, Posted: 5/9/2023
Perfect little getaway in Gulfport
This was the perfect spot for a weekend couples getaway. The screened porch was so wonderful to relax on and it was a nice surprise that it had a drying line for clothes after the beach. It was also lovely to have access to bikes to explore the marina and downtown gulfport.- Anonymous U from Seattle, WA, Posted: 5/2/2023
Cozy little getaway - great porch and bikes!
Small but smartly set up space. Very clean and well appointed kitchen. The screened in porch is so lovely and well shaded so it doesn't get too hot. 2 min walk to the great restaurants, coffee shops and watering holes in Gulfport!- Anonymous from Seattle, Posted: 5/2/2023

Fish Camp Fun
I have rented the larger home in past but it was unavailable for my stay. So I booked the studio Fish Camp. It’s small but very cute! Shoutout to Beth for being on top of it! I messaged after first night that the mattress was too soft and asked if they had a mattress topper. She purchased one the same day! My sleep next two nights were very comfortable. The screen porch is large and spacious as well. I love this house that’s close to the beach!- Anonymous from Damascus, Posted: 12/22/2022
Nice visit to Gulfport
The Fish Camp was just perfect for my stay in Gulfport. It was clean, cute, in a nice location and very well equipped. The property manager, Beth, was very thorough and communicated everything you would need to know. Thanks for a nice week!- Anonymous from Richmond, Posted: 12/18/2022
Fish Camp A Tropical Get Away
I recently rented Fish Camp for a two week stay. Upon my arrival I found a cheerful, tastefully decorated, and very clean apartment perfectly located just a block from Boca Ciega Bay. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of storage. The bedroom had plenty of storage for luggage and clothing and the bathroom included a shower. The best part of Fish Camp, for me, was the large screened in patio which included outdoor furniture and even a hammock. The patio was surrounded by lush greenery making for a relaxing place to read or enjoy a meal. The location of Fish Camp is perfect as it's a block from the beach on the Bay, the Gulfport Recreation Center, it's an easy walk to stores, restaurants, bars, Williams Pier and the Casino also the location is within a few miles of the Gulf, downtown St. Pete and many shopping centers, museums and restaurants. I highly recommend Fish Camp and would consider renting again.- Anonymous from MONROE, Posted: 11/29/2022

My Stay at Fish Camp
I have stayed at fish camp many times and always enjoyed it. It is the perfect place for me, close to the beach, and within walking distance of Beach Blvd. I recommend that the management consider installing a heater and a fan in the bathroom. The only problem I had was my inability to open the living room window because the new screen didn't fit.- Anonymous from Ann Arbor, Posted: 3/31/2022I'm not sure what to say about the property condition rating. The kitchen was remodeled in 2020, along with new tile floors and new interior walls throughout. There is no attic space for a heater and bathroom fan. Not much left to improve upon! And Pauline has stayed here for 5 or 6 years, so...- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:

Great Little Spot in Fun Artsy Town
Fish Camp was small, but lovely. The perfect place to stay for me (and my dog)! The kitchen was fully equipped, furnishings were updated, bed was comfortable and such a cute sunroom. The town itself is eclectic and artsy. Just one block to the beach and a few blocks from restaurants, bars and boutiques. Would love to stay there again and highly recommend for 1-2 people!- Anonymous from chicago, Posted: 3/14/2021

I loved my stay at Fish Camp
There was nothing fishy about my stay at Fish Camp! This adorable little cottage is super clean, neat and tidy, and in a perfect location. The tropical, fun decor made it welcoming and charming. I loved the private, screened-in rear porch which was shady and serene on a hot and humid day. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen fully stocked. Beth is a 5-Star manager and her staff are top-notch. If anything needed fixing, Beth responded right away. I enjoyed being able to take a short walk to the waterfront with my coffee in the morning and a bike ride around the quaint neighborhood at night. Thank you, Beth, Terry, Jerri-Lynn, and Dennis for keeping Fish Camp inviting and in tip-top shape! Peaceful Stay
There were many things I liked about Fish Camp. The kitchen was very well equipped. The queen size bed was very comfortable. The property was clean and well maintained. Beth responded promptly to any concerns I had.
The portable heaters did a good job of heating up the studio when we had cold temperatures in january. When it warmed up in February, I really enjoyed the screen porch and ate most meals out there. This is the star attraction of Fish Camp.- Anonymous from Ann Arbor, Posted: 3/7/2018Thanks Pauline! Although I do want to clarify the bed is just a double, not a Queen. And the large porch essentially doubles the living space during mild weather. Beth- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:

very quaint & relaxing
This was a great rental for my husband, myself & 2 medium size dogs. The town is quaint & super friendly & welcoming. There are more restaurants & shops to explore in a 4 block walk than we had time for. It was wonderful to arise early and walk the dogs a short block to the bayside front street. Also very safe for late strolls. Can't take your dogs on the beach but can walk the sidewalks lining the beachside municipal park. Farmers market and crafts every Tuesday in late spring/summer. Everything you need and more-even dishes for the fur kids & coffee grinder! The rear enclosed patio is a lovely place for mornings & evenings. Wonderful to have free access to laundry. Beth was great at responding promptly to my questions. The bed is a full size but adequate room for us & comfy. Everything was very clean & efficient. The landscaping is beautiful. There is not a fenced area for the dogs to relieve themselves but there is a fenced in "front porch" area which contains some beautiful landscaping & a small brick entry patio. The dogs enjoyed sunning themselves in that area & spying through the fence. We did a lot of traveling for day visits with the dogs & this was conveniently located. No construction noted on nearby streets as stated in previous reviews. Wifi & cable worked great. Would definitely return.- Anonymous from centerville, Posted: 6/17/2017Thank you so much and thanks for commenting on the absence of construction now!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:

Charming Little Florida cottage
Charming little apartment which is nicely decorated. Clean space, non-smoking and no sign anyone had smoked in the facility. Pet friendly but no sign pets had been there. Large screened in porch which is set in a shaded garden. Fully appointed kitchen with everything you'll need to cook meals, but not a lot of counter space. Tiny bright bathroom with shower stall. Double bed. Easy walk to Gulfport beach which has changing rooms, bathrooms, benches, gazebo and shade trees. We also visited Fort deSoto which has sugar sand beaches on the gulf. A short, easy drive to the Dali Museum and Chihully exhibits in St. Pete. Don't miss the market in Gulfport on Tuesday or the many restaurants and shops. The only real down-side to the visit was the road construction which is going on all through historic Gulfport with road closures. One of the house's parking spots full of a pile of rocks and a pallet of paving stones, necessitating some creative, cooperative parking for all three sections of the property. This has been going on since Jan '17 and shows no sign of being finished soon.- Anonymous from asley falls, Posted: 4/9/2017Thank you and THANKFULLY the construction was completed mid-May 2017. Had to be the longest-running street project in the history of street projects. However, we're hopeful this will benefit the entire community with drainage issues which had plagued this section of the waterfront district. Beth- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Another great visit to Fish Camp
This place is a gem in a lovely location. Only downside this year was the dust and noise from construction. Everything was great. too many remotes, especially for someone who is not
tech savvy, wanted to watch news channel. couldn't get TV's to work, that was the only problem.- Anonymous from Pueblo, Posted: 12/1/2016I agree! There are too many remotes! One for cable, one for the TV for certain functions, one for DVD player! I haven't figured out a way around this, as programming the cable remote doesn't seem to hold.- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:

Cozy, quiet, safe, laid-back. Tropical setting, nice breezes rustling through the palms, with a hint of an Australian pine tree, whispering in the background.

Cute, comfortable and clean
Very comfortable small efficiency. Nicely decorated and clean. Well-stocked kitchen. Warning to anyone who is above average height/weight: the tiny bathroom would be challenging! The grounds are well kept and the unit has a private screened porch. It is a very short walk to the bay or Beach Blvd. (shops/restaurants). I have been visiting Gulfport for the past 8 years - it has an "Old Florida" look, laid back vibe and is very dog-friendly and walkable, which is important to me because I like to travel with my four-legged best friend. Gulfport is a close drive to St. Pete & Tampa and all they have to offer but I spend most of my time chilling out in town. This year I took my dog to the off leash dog beach at Ft. DeSoto State Park and she had a blast! This was my first time renting from Splashy Ventures and Beth was a pleasure to deal with - responsive and efficient and when my original stay got washed out by Tropical Storm Colin I thought I would lose my payment but she applied it to another week, which I appreciated very much! I would definitely rent from them again.- Anonymous from Palm Coast, Posted: 6/19/2016I like to say the bathroom is an efficiency also! You can accomplish several tasks at once! I'm so pleased we were able to be flexible with TS Colin's impact on your stay. It was definitely not a fun few days while he was in town. Beth- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Very Pleased
This was our third stay at Fish Camp and probably won't be our last. It fits our needs perfectly as a pied-a-terre in Gulfport while my wife and I visit our son. The location is great, with easy access to everything Gulfport offers including the waterfront, great restaurants, the wonderful, friendly library, etc. The management (Beth) is terrific. Fish Camp itself, while quite small, is clean and neat and works efficiently for two people. The generous screen porch with access to a grill is a pleasant amenity for lounging and eating meals. We would recommend Fish Camp to friends looking for an efficiency in the St Petersburg area.- Anonymous from Ridgefield, Posted: 5/30/2016Bob and Suzanne are very welcome repeat guests and we are extremely appreciative of their kind remarks and patronage. We agree the porch is one of the best features of Fish Camp. Beth- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:

Charming small apt, perfect Gulfport location
My grown daughter and I stayed a weekend here. It's in one of my favorite towns, Gulfport, which has a small-town artsy vibe and is 15 minutes from St Pete's or Pass a Grille gulf beaches. It has it's own sandy inland waterway beachfront park with volleyball courts and picnic benches and places to plop your own chairs for sun, and a nice walk to stroll along the bay, day or night, plus the old casino--no gambling, just dancing.
The apt is tiny but has a full kitchen(and is well-equipped even for the serious cook) and shares access to a landscaped and quiet grill and patio dining area with two other units. The big bonus here is that this tiny apartment has it's own large screened porch which is literally an additional living room complete with table and chairs and sofa. We loved this space and entertained guests here, grilling on that adjacent patio. Management is excellent and has several Gulfport properties, all I've stayed in are well-maintained and decorated with lots of color and charm. You are in a residential street but only one block from the main beach and restaurants and two blocks from Beach Blvd, Gulfport's little shopping street. Tuesday Market is a bonus there bringing stalls of fresh produce, eggs, and honey, trinkets, clothes and art.
I recommend this little apartment for a nice getaway without the high rises and traffic.- Anonymous from Westminster, Posted: 4/26/2016Thank you so much! I couldn't ask for a better summary of Fish Camp and Gulfport!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:

Loved the location. Great place to vacation with a dog- Gulfport is very walkable and friendly. The cottage is tiny but the lovely screened porch helps a lot- Anonymous from Deering, Posted: 2/29/2016Thanks for trying our Fish Camp this year!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Tiny rental is a huge find
Rental is well stocked...better than any I've ever been affiliated with. Location was great for us. Walkable to quirky costal town. 2 nice bike trails close to rental...Pinnelas & Fort DeSoto & Par 3 golf course nearby. Terrific shopping at St. John's Pass was about 10 mi. The owner was personable & quick to respond!- Anonymous from Leeper, Posted: 2/14/2016Thank you Pam! We hope to see you in 2017!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
5 Days in Gulfport
The Studio was very clean and, surprise, not only did it have WiFi access but a printer/scanner too. The shower is quite tight not for a 6'5" 250 lb person but tub.
While small it is very fully furnished in the kitchen. Location is great for enjoying Gulfport and driving access to the beaches and St. Pete downtown.- Anonymous from Las Vegas, Posted: 9/22/2015Thank you Dennis!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
A Quaint & Serene Studio With Everything You Need
We had 5 people in our group, but since the Sand Dollar can only accommodate up to 4 people, we rented the Fish Camp for our friends. It was fantastic. Our friends were visiting from England and they said they enjoyed the accommodations. It even gave them an idea of purchasing a similar property as a winter vacation home.- Anonymous from Orlando, Posted: 9/11/2015Thanks Jonathan! Beth- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:

Fish Camp perfect for 1-2!
The Fish camp was perfect and had everything one could need! Location was 1 block from water and a short walking distance to downtown Gulfport. I will rent again on next trip providing it's available!- Anonymous from Wynantskil, Posted: 7/15/2015Come back soon Cindy!- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Fish Camp - Gulfport, Florida
We had a wonderful time in Gulfport! We especially liked the proximity of the apartment to the business district.
- Anonymous from Pittsburgh, Posted: 3/25/2015Fish Camp is just 3 blocks from the main shopping and restaurant "drag" in Gulfport! Yet the location is very quiet and one block to the beach. Beth- Splashy Ventures staff, Posted:
Fond of Fish Camp
My wife and I spent ten days at Fish Camp, and we were perfectly satisfied. The place provided just what we needed and nothing more at a reasonable price. Then screened porch in the back is a definite plus, but we managed fine when it was too cold to sit outside. The only drawback is the double bed, which is unfortunately tight against the wall and my wife found a little musty. Fish Camp's location is ideal in a pleasant neighborhood and within easy walking distance of the beach and downtown restaurants. We really enjoyed spending time in and exploring Gulfport.- Anonymous from Ridgefield, Posted: 2/20/2015
5 Stars on All Counts
My wife and I now have stayed in three different Gulfport spaces owned and cared for by Elizabeth S. Each has been well cared for and thoughtfully supplied. Fish Camp has been the smallest, and yet it had everything we needed and, additionally, a screened in back porch that looked out on a lovely garden area -- delightful for lunches and breakfasts. We both highly recommend any property of Elizabeth's, and her as a temporary landlady. She cares and it shows. 5 Stars on all counts!

Just what we needed...
My husband and I stayed at this sweet, cozy, great location cottage this Spring. It was the perfect place for our visit to Gulfport. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The manager was wonderful to work with. She was so sweet to bring us two bikes by which were so helpful. We are hoping to get the chance to stay here again soon...- Anonymous from Franklin, Posted: 5/6/2014
Whirlwind tour of Gulfport
Quiet neighborhood and convenient location to explore Gulfport. Combination lock rather than a keyed lock was very convenient. Screened Florida room at back of shot-gun style apartment was a nice place to relax and/or work. Interior living area is a bit cluttered with electronics and cords but wi-fi appreciated. Kitchen well equipped for our short stay. Bed against the wall a bit claustrophic for our liking. Bathroom amenities were a nice touch.- Anonymous from New Hartford, Posted: 5/3/2014
good place to live
I like the tiny cozy efficiency! The location is great and it really makes me feel like home. The only shortcoming, if I have to say, is that it is very small, but big enough for two persons.- Anonymous from State College, Posted: 4/17/2014
Very nice for a couple
Fish Camp gives you everything you need for a couple. It would be awkward (in my opinion) for two couples as the only bathroom is off the bedroom. It has a huge screened porch and we spent a lot of time reading in there when it rained. Fish Camp had everything we needed for our stay.- Anonymous , Posted: 4/16/2014
Great stay in Gulfport
Really enjoyed spending 3 weeks recently in Gulfport. Fishcamp was a fine efficiency type of apt.: clean, comfortable, and a super location. It has a very large screened in porch in the rear which was a nice spot to read in or just hang out. Thanks for the stay.- Anonymous from West Hartford, Posted: 3/2/2014

The Fish House Is Very Nice
