Peach Hideaway
Peach Hideaway is a 3BR/2BA, pet-friendly beauty in Gulfport, featuring a heated swimming pool that’s a big hit with guests.
Walk to Gulfport’s beaches, restaurants, pier, and more, then come back to your bug-free pool with a screen enclosure. Nighttime lights and pool heating (76-78 degrees) from November through April mean the pool is always ready to welcome you (but not the mosquitoes!). The pool can be heated to a temperature higher than this for a fee of $20 per day up to 85 degrees, subject to a maximum of $400 per month.
HANGOUTS GALORE
Peach Hideaway’s quaint, cottage-chic exterior conceals a surprisingly spacious, open layout with plenty of room for your group of up to 8.
Mix drinks and head to the pool and deck with a gas grill. Prep feasts in the roomy, remodeled kitchen (with dishwasher) then gather at the 6-8 person table in the large dining room. Bring a book to the Florida room/sunroom for a quiet afternoon read, or watch a movie on the flat-screen TV. Catch up in the living area, which has its own flat-screen and comfy furnishings.
The Georgia couple who owns Peach Hideaway still vacations here with their daughter and her family, so you can count on a well-stocked, family-friendly experience. From pool/beach toys and kitchen gear to free Wi-Fi and Netflix streaming, they've thought of everything for seamless and relaxing beach getaways - with or without kids!
BED and BATH
Three bedrooms and two baths. Two bedroom and both bathrooms are located in the front of the house. There is one step down from the kitchen to the dining room. From the dining room there is one step down into the back bedroom, and a different step down in another direction going to the Florida room and out to the pool and yard.
The first bedroom has a king-size Sleep Number bed.
The second bedroom has a trundle/bunkbed setup that sleeps up to 4. The top bunk and tucked-away trundle both have twin-size mattresses; the middle bed is a full-size.
The third bedroom features a queen-size bed and sliding door access to the pool and deck.
The bathrooms are conveniently located at the front and back at the house, and neither is an en-suite. The larger of the two features a walk-in shower; the second has a tub/shower combination. A separate sink in the third bedroom makes morning and evening routines even easier.
GULFPORT AND BEYOND
Peach Hideaway is is a 15-minute walk from the beach, downtown Gulfport's shops and restaurants, and from the pier. And there's always something happening in Gulfport, a self-proclaimed "small town with a big heart." From the bi-weekly art walks and weekly farmers markets to yearly festivals celebrating the arts, the beach, and life in general, you'll find a cheerful, welcoming attitude in Gulfport that's downright addictive. You might not want to leave!
But there is more to explore beyond Gulfport: Treasure Island, St. Pete and St. Pete Beach are equally beautiful, and all a quick 15-minute drive from Peach Hideaway.
Ring video doorbell onsite. All appliances work great. Pets welcome with additional fee. The pool is caged (screened) but this will not keep out all wildlife. Spiders, snakes and geckos can and do get in.
Reservations require the completion of a signed rental agreement including your credit card details within 48 hours of booking or before arrival, whichever is earlier. You are entering into an agreement with Splashy Ventures/Gulfport Florida and Splashy is the merchant of record for rent, taxes and fees.

Great rental.Super clean. Recommended!

Very enjoyable stay. The house is typical for the area (older), but the owners have spent a lot to make it very up to date and comfortable. Flat screens, high speed Internet, great pool, well-stocked kitchen, nice modern fridge and dishwasher, etc.
This was more than our typical budget for a vacation rental, but no regrets.
In older homes like this it's difficult to keep them looking clean, but this place was squeaky clean. No mildew, no bugs...very impressive for Florida!
Pool was great and the built-in baby fence is perfect. Ate our lunches in the shade on the patio and enjoyed the pool rippling and bubbling. Pool was good temp...perfect to cool off but not cold.
Beth with Splashy was a superstar. The flatscreen concierge device was really cool. Her photos are beautiful and added to the pleasant visit.
We were a little anxious about the location when we drove into the neighborhood but it was quiet and felt safe. The well-kept church across the way often had a police car hanging out which also helped.
Literally nothing negative I can say! Thank you!

We were very happy with our stay. When we had questions, they got answered. The pool was unable to maintain the 85-88 during our stay because we got really cold a few nights. This was a lovely home. The pool was very nice and the extra childproof fence gave us piece of mind. The beds were very comfortable. Some of the linens were a bit worn and the cushions in the back room we’ re worn as well. The kitchen and living room were updated and very nice. The host was great and immediately responsive. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

This house has it all!! Everything we needed was here. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, pans, dishes, glasses.... There were plenty of towels and blankets, as well as a few toys for our grandkids. The house was very clean and decorated adorably. The hosts were very responsive and super friendly and willing to help anyway they could. The house was an easy drive to several beaches, restaurants and activities. We were very pleased we stayed here!!!

Gulfport vacation

Enjoyed visit for most part Pool was big draw and was perfect .Since we were in Florida took a little getting used to the bugs and reptiles.One issue was black mold noted on ceiling register in kids room ,chairs by pool were cracked and according to manager will be replaced,one broke while my son was sitting on it .Took care of bugs and geckos thinking they are a part of Florida life.Over all beautiful property and we enjoyed stay ,since we had family in Gulfport was convenient.
Thank you Shelley. We have replaced the Adirondack chairs with a heavy-duty polywood version that holds up to 385 pounds, so these should be good to go. The ceiling register was inspected and cleaned and does not pose any health issues. Bugs and Geckos are a part of Florida life, particularly Geckos and particularly in the summertime!

Gulfport Peach Hideaway

Overall, the house was as described and depicted in the pictures. The pool area was great. So peaceful having coffee beside the pool listening to the birds. The house was very clean (except for some mildew on bath ceilings). Plenty of towels and kitchen supplies. Just bring your food & beverages nd you will be all set. The back bedroom (the artist studio/former garage) tended to be warmer than the rest of the house, and guests slept with the door open for cooler air flow. The second bathroom is very small. Its a 15 minute walk to the Gulfport beach, with shops & restaurants being 10-15 minutes walking.

Quiet area, close to many stores and things to do. The home was extremely clean and well stocked. High end appliances and a sectional you didn't want to get off of! Bed are comfortable. This house was perfect for our family of 4. Very warm and welcoming, we truly felt at home. Everything was as advertised and Beth responded quickly to any questions that we had during our stay. Perfectly located, only a 5 minute walk to the pier where there is a few ideal dining locations, O'Maddy's and Caddy's were both great for casual dining. Also very close to a number of beaches. After long days on the beach it was great to come back to the heated pool to wind down. I would highly recommend this property, we will definitely be back.

Pirates Spring Training Vacation

A charming spacious renovated cottage

Three roomy bedrooms, two baths, a dining room, living room and sunroom. Pretty area to sit outside near pool. All with very very comfy furnishings! The kitchen is perfect. Very clean and accommodating. Great location. Within walking distance of shops, entertainment and the water. Only had 2 disappointments. We are grillers and the grille needs a complete cleaning and maybe new grates. Because we went over Christmas we were hoping there would be a Christmas tree and decorations. The shower head in the main shower did not give a good spray.

The Best!!

This home was absolutely perfect for our trip to Gulfport. We were in town for a Celebration of Life and this home was 4 blocks from my brothers house so walking was so convenient. The beach is fairly close and downtown Gulfport has some pretty neat shops. About the house - very clean, well maintained, very comfortable beds, the kitchen had every imaginable utensil you could ever need. The pool was a little chilly but that didn't stop us from taking a dip and enjoying the patio area. The front yard had a lemon tree in it and we enjoyed a couple with our adult beverages. Felt very safe in the neighborhood. Plenty of space for everyone. The only negative thing I could say is the shower in the Jack & Jill bath had very poor water pressure - did that stop us from enjoying this wonderful house? - NOPE - we would go back here in a heartbeat. Thank you for making our stay so seamless and enjoyable.

Great home. Overall good experience. King size bed is hard and glad I brought a camping mattress. I had an 84 year old and there were steps inside the house. Those steps may make this home a bit challenging for anyone with disabilities. Regardless I would say there again!
The king-size bed is a Sleep Number bed and so can be adjusted to any level of firmness! I wish the guest had contacted us to let us know if he didn't know how to work it. (We do provide info regarding the operation of the bed in the arrival email.) As for steps there is one down to the back bedroom and one into the Florida room. Thank you for your insights!

Girl's Weekend

The home itself was very nice and clean. Since I rented this for a total of 6 girls in August, I would've preferred to be able to set the AC just slightly cooler for when we were getting ready. The AC never went lower than 74 degrees, this was fine for most of the time but the back bedroom did not seem to get much air flow. Also the air was stuffy and all of us woke up congested and with sore throats. I texted the owner about the AC and she got back to me very quickly but it didn't change the conditions of course. Unfortunately the pool had not been cleaned before our visit and the solar cover was left on the ground to collect dirt and leaves. I purposely rented this home above others because of the pool. I had a scheduled list of events and Friday (our second day) was going to be a pool day during the day. Unfortunately the pool did not get cleaned until Friday evening, leaving only Saturday morning to swim and I rented a boat so I wasn't able to enjoy the pool at all the entire stay. I did have to contact the owner a few times and she was extremely kind, prompt and attentive. The home was stocked well and I would recommend it, but I was disappointed about the pool especially and uncomfortable sleeping in the back bedroom given the AC issue. I felt the neighborhood was diverse, I was a little worried driving in but on the other side it is really nice. It seems to be right on the cusp of two different areas.
We are extremely sorry that the pool was not clean when they arrived. The pool is cleaned every Friday by a professional pool service and Jennifer and her party arrived on a Thursday following a week full of rain. And because of all the rain he didn't arrive until late in the day on Friday at that. Unfortunately it isn't possible to have the pool cleaned just before each guest arrives as the services don't work that way, but I will change the write-up and arrival details so that guests know the schedule in advance. On a short stay such as this with only 1 day dedicated to the pool it didn't work out well. Regarding the AC it was a little warm the day they arrived. I advised not to turn it lower than 73 that first day so as not to run the risk of freezing it up. (It was a very hot day...) I checked the log and it does seem that they left it set at 73 the rest of their stay and it did reach that temperature many times. We will check on the airflow into the back bedroom.

The house is great for family vacations. We had friends and family coming in and out all the time and this was easy with the house set up. It was also great for buffet dinners. The neighborhood is nice, close to Pinellas trail, the beach and St Pete without the buzz and traffic. Only little downside, the kitchen could be a little bit more equipped.
We have recently completed the kitchen inventory and will be adding items!

Nice Quiet Location

The house is exactly as shown in the listing photos. it is in an older neighborhood but is newly renovated inside. the house is walking distance to the charming downtown Gulfport and a short drive to beaches. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy as we saw quite a bit of police activity nearby but didnt experience any issues ourselves.
the size and layout worked perfectly for our family group of 4 but it would also be good for up to 6 people. There is a living room and a sun room with ample seating and flat screen tv's. The back yard is relaxing and quiet to hang out in. unfortunately the lush vegetation only lets the sun hit the yard and the pool for about 4 hours each day. the pool is not heated so anyone visiting during the winter months will not be able to use it.
overall we were very happy with this rental and enjoyed our time in the house.

Our visit to Tampa to meet our New Granddaughter

This property couldn't have been nicer.
The area was nice in walking distance to shopping and places to eat. The house was very spacious and bedrooms and beds very comfy. The kitchen was well equipped, had a coffee grinder for coffee beans.
It was a great location with beaches 15 to 20 min away.
When we come back again plan on renting this property again.
